Slow Site?

Check your computer to make sure it can support Adobe Flash and you have Firefox or Google Chrome web browser running. K3 Lights is not met for Internet Explorer users (many of the features on our site are not supported or will run slow with IE users).

How do I find “My Town?”

Above, click on the “My Town” menu above, follow that to the state and county your town is located.

On the following page, a list of towns will appear on the left hand side of your screen. Select your town there.

You’ve reached your town’s page. If there is yet to be any content on the page, check back later in the month of December or look at the Tour Schedule above under “The Homes” tab on the main menu to find out when K3 Lights will be in your neighborhood.

Video Questions

Where are the Videos?

All of the K3 Lights Town Tours videos are featured on our website under the appropriate County and Town names. This is the only way you can access the archives of your Town Tours shoots.

Example: Kankakee County – Bourbonnais – Bourbonnais Illinois Videos (2009 and 2010)

What is the purpose of these videos?

The purpose of our videos is to bring some holiday cheer into your life. K3Lights does this by taking a collection of all homes we have taken from various locations and usually separated into categories, either by town or subdivisions, depending upon how big. The descriptions of those videos are appropriately labeled as such.

How to I play a video?

Click on the play button on the screen show…if it doesn’t play, try making sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed on your computer. K3 Lights utilizes YouTube to bring you 90% of its content, so if for whatever reason your tour won’t play head over to www.youtube.com/k3lightscom to check out your video.

Photo Questions

Click on the photo you would like to see. This photo should blow up to reveal a large image of this image. This is only accessible for the ‘Latest Photos’ seen under the “Photos” button located under “The Homes” category of our site.

If your photo still won’t load, we advise you check and make sure your computer can support Adobe Flash, as this is a main component of our site.

Every once in a while, it could be an issue on our end….so if it is, please excuse our lack of attention to the problem. You can email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. How do I access the Photos?

Our photos can be accessed a number of different ways. You can click on the photos tab above to view various photos of homes we find extremely interesting. You can also click the ‘Photos’ button on the toolbar below, or click the “Latest Photos” button on the right hand side of the screen.

I’d like to submit a photo I’ve taken, how do I do so?

My photo button isn’t bringing up the photos on the toolbar, what should I do?

Check and make sure your Adobe Flash is working; it is required to view both the photo button and others on the toolbar, check out the Technical Questions below for additional information, or check out our flicker page here

 

Privacy and Sharing

Town Tours

K3 Lights does its best to protect the privacy of those who decorate and we shoot photos of their homes for. We have a long standing policy in this matter. Whenever we do our tours, we try to avoid shooting the following items:

Identification of Home:

Addresses

Mailboxes

 Cars/License Plates…etc

If for some reason you decorate and choose NOT to have your home listed in our K3 Lights Town Tours, we’re sorry to hear this. Please send an email with the following information and we will be glad to remove your home from our photo albums and or videos.

A link to the correct video or photo identified as your own

A time in the video where your home appears (I.E. at the 3:32 mark in the video)

Why you would take it down?

Because we’re curious to know…but understand if you don’t want to give us a reason why. It might just be “because” and that’s fine with us. We respect your privacy and choice of choosing to do so.

The K3 Lights Team will come out to your home and let you show us around giving us detailed information about the display and the story behind why you do it.
